Hearty Cannabis Soup
by Elana Dussé
There is nothing like a hearty, creamy winter soup to warm your bones and comfort your soul. Add some cannabis tincture to the mix to take the edge off (CBD-rich) or for a gentle magic carpet ride (THC-rich)
We have adapted this recipe from Cannaconnection.com using our own Synergy Wellness Olive Oil Tincture of your choice.
If you want to just use a CBD-rich tincture, feel free to be generous with your droppers, since psychoactivity is of little concern. Give yourself a full dropper for every serving (examples would be #100 ACDC, #111 Valentine, #143 Ringo’s Gift or #147 Remedy.
If you want to get a little sparkly, feel free to use some THC-rich tincture for your recipe but DO THE MATH to make sure you are getting the right amount for you! Often just 2-3 milligrams per serving will give you a little buzz without being too heavy.
Make sure and read the bottle to see how many mgs. there are per dropper. Most of the full-strength THC tinctures are 17 mgs. Per full dropper so think about how many droppers you want to put in in relation to the number of servings of soup. One drop usually has ½ mg. Some of the varietal tinctures we carry are hybrids and carry less THC and some CBD as well. Err on the side of caution.
Remember that if it is ‘sparkle’ you are going for, there will be a delayed reaction of about 60-90 minutes before you feel the effects.
Below is the recipe.
This soup is fast and simple to make, requiring very little preparation and cooking time. You can substitute for almond milk or oat milk to make it vegan, and you can substitute any type of gluten-free flour to make it gluten-free.
