Strain Of The Month - Ringo’s Gift

This month Synergy Wellness offers a special discount on our Ringo’s Gift products, one of our most popular CBD-rich strains. Ringo’s Gift is named after Lawrence Ringo, the late Northern Californian cannabis cultivator who created several of the CBD-rich strains that are the mainstay of CBD production today.

Ringo, founder of the Southern Humboldt Seed Collective, was the first Northern Californian cultivator to actively develop and stabilize cannabis strains with a high ratio of CBD. We have Ringo to thank for Sour Tsunami, Harle-Tsu, Canna-Tsu and ACDC-Tsu as well as his final creation, Ringo’s Gift. These strains are staples in the CBD therapeutic world and as research progresses we are learning more about the array of constituent cannabinoids and the ultimate capabilities of these plants.

The parent strains of Ringo’s Gift are ACDC and Harle-Tsu, both valuable CBD-rich strains in themselves. Ringo’s Gift is a 60% Sativa, 40% Indica hybrid and has a 20:1 CBD/THC cannabinoid ratio. The sativa to indica ratio produces an evenly balanced effect, the higher percentage of sativa keeps the mind energized while the indica is calming and relaxing, without any attendant lethargy. Ringo’s Gift also scores high in CBDa, CBC, CBG and THCA, cannabinoids known for their therapeutic value. The primary terpenes are myrcene, pinene and caryophyllene, these powerful oils give the flower it’s stimulating citrus, mint and spicy pepper accents.

At harvest time Ringo’s Gift bright, almost neon, green leaves surround large light green airy flowers laced with orange and brown pistils (the little curly hairs.) Unusually for CBD-rich strains Ringo’s flowers are encrusted with crystal trichomes which give it a pretty glittering frosted finish.

The evenly balanced hybrid nature of Ringo’s Gift makes it an effective tool for both mental relief and physical complaints. Tee strain is particularly useful for anxiety disorders and for chronic stress and panic attacks. A heightened ability to focus mentally, free from anxiety is noted and the strain is indicated for ADD/ADHC conditions.

In the realm of physically expressed ailments Ringo’s Gift is a popular choice for treating epilepsy, tremors and spasms, chronic body pain, arthritis, inflammation, headaches and migraines.

Synergy Wellness offers Ringo’s Gift as pure flower and as tincture in three mediums: olive oil, sesame oil and organic alcohol. All of these Ringo’s Gift products are on sale this month at a 20% discount.

Synergy Harvest 2021

- Billee Sharp

Autumn brings a change in the weather, the leaves on the trees transform the landscape, giving us the season’s satisfying hues, reds and oranges, yellows and browns. In Northern California as the hillsides turn golden the cannabis crops come to fruition and harvest time has officially arrived.

The harvest is the final crucial stage of the growing cycle and has its own unique protocols, the timing and conditions of the harvest vary depending on the particular strains: a CBD-rich strain may not necessarily be harvested at the same time as a THC-rich strain or CBG-rich strain because of the unique cannabinoid profile that is desired. The weather at harvest time is a major factor too and has to be carefully monitored: early frosts and heavy rains can ruin the delicate flowers and it goes without saying that wildfires and smoke-damage are potentially devastating.

Cannabis cultivation has a very long history in human culture, the archaeological record and textual evidence show us that the benefits of the plant were known 6,000 years ago in China. In western medicine cannabis extracts were widely used to treat digestion upsets, tension and spasms until the early twentieth century.

Modern science summarily dismissed the efficacy of cannabis and it wasn’t until the grassroots cannabis culture of the 1960s emerged that the reputation of cannabis regained traction. Gradually the scientific community began to study the uses of cannabis and this scrutiny has led to a deeper understanding and acknowledgement of the therapeutic values inherent in cannabinoids.

While white western society dithered on the possibilities cannabis might offer, the pioneering cannabis farmers of Northern California were honing the art and methodology of cannabis cultivation.

There are many individuals that deserve to be credited for their contributions to the rehabilitation of cannabis medicine, for example, Northern California”s much-loved, late great Lawrence Ringo. Ringo developed several notable CBD-rich strains now in widespread therapeutic use. The last CBD strain that Ringo created is aptly called ‘Ringo’s Gift’, the product of a cross-fertilization between ACDC and Harle-Tsu, the latter also being one of Ringo’s own strains. The high CBD content of ‘Ringo’s Gift’ combined with its gentle floral profile makes it one of the world’s most popular and effective CBD strains, not to mention a huge favorite with our membership.

The harvest links us back to the agrarian roots of our society when each community sustained itself for another year on a successful harvest. Through millennia, the harvest festival has celebrated the bounty of the crops and land and the labor and ingenuity of the farmers. Nowadays our lives are not so intimately connected to the earth and yet the harvest time is still close to our hearts and the symbolism of the autumnal cornucopia still resonate.

At this time of year Synergy Wellness is energized with the promise of the rewards and surprises the harvest will bring: this year the first crop of “Stem Cell” a new CBG-rich strain is anticipated with excitement as Leonard’s quest for beneficial cannabinoids continues.

In a larger sense we are now harvesting the culmination of many people’s efforts to bring cannabis to the center stage of modern medicine. Courage, ingenuity and hard toil characterize the many lives that have been devoted to the cause of cannabis medicine. Harvest time reminds us of those who have inspired us and made it possible for us to continue to provide, to learn and to grow.

The Wizard’s Words of Wisdom

You create your own reality.

What does that mean? How does that work?

There is a hierarchical order of manifesting things in this world.

First, we are Beings of Spirit, our Soul, who we really are.

Next, we have the realm of Energy and Emotions.

Then comes the Mental realm, our world of Thoughts.

Finally, in our Physical world, people and things become manifest.

In order to change our physical world, for example, healing from a disease, we have first change things upstream, like the energy and thoughts we are thinking.

In the present moment, the thoughts that you think, cause you to emanate a unique vibrational frequency. Universal laws are constantly responding to your vibration. There are two Laws that we specifically used.

a) Law of Attraction. You attract people and situations to match your frequency. And so, in all waking moments, you are creating your own point of attraction. Everything that you experience is coming to you because of your vibrational emanation and the magnetic response to that vibration.

b) Law of Focused Attention. That which you focus on, expands, grows and becomes more of your experience. And, you get to choose what you focus on. By carefully crafting your thoughts and focus, you create your own reality.

Now is the time of autumn, the time of the Harvest. Look around at the abundance of produce of fruits and vegetables, of flowers, of the buds of our cannabis crop. Take time to smell the roses. In your heart, feel the energy of gratitude. The more you focus on this feeling, the more there is to appreciate. It seems the Universe knows what you are feeling and it gives you more things to be thankful for. It’s like ordering off a menu.

We are discriminating beings. Choose only thoughts that bring you joy or bring you vibrant health. There is a stream of good energy and good health flowing through the universe all the time. Allow this energy to come into you. Do not hold on to thoughts that make you feel bad; let them go. In this way, all of us, create our own reality.
